Founded as Smith Oil Company in 1972 by John A. Smith, our company has banked on its commitment to service, customers and the community to grow and evolve over the last 49 years to serve more than 3,000 homes and businesses in the Pittsburgh area and southwestern Pennsylvania. In 2013 we expanded to add bulk propane to our offerings and changed our name to Smith Propane & Oil to reflect this exciting change to the business. In addition to selling home heating oil and propane, we operate a Pacific Pride 24-hour cardlock fueling system at our offices at 138 Pandora Road as well as other Pac Pride sites in Central and Western PA, where cardholders can refuel with gasoline and diesel fuel. We also operate a propane filling station for small propane tanks and motor homes in Loyalhanna, as well as small quantities of retail heating oil and kerosene.

We remain a family-owned and locally operated company dedicated to serving our customers in the community. We enjoy giving back to our neighbors and the community that helped us grow by supporting local charities and organizations such as the 9th Life Animal Rescue in Greensburg, Action for Animals Humane Society, Weaklands Truck Pulls and its support of Make a Wish, and a growing partnership with United Way of the Southern Alleghenies. We look forward to many more years delivering fuel and serving our neighbors.
